Silverchair - Reports from the Road

Ich fuhr schon um 5:48 Uhr mit dem Zug nach Wien, weil ich nämlich in Kärnten wohne. Kärnten ist ca.350 km von Wien entfernt.

Mein Freund und ich wohnten gleich in der nähe vom Planet Music, wo das Konzert stattfand. Ich freute mich schon wahnsinnig auf das Konzert, da es mein erstes Silverchair-Konzert war. Meine Eltern haben mir die Eintrittskarte und die Zugfahrt finanziert, da ich Geburtstag hatte. (Ich habe nur 5 Tage nach Daniel Geburtstag!) Ich muss ehrlich sagen, dass dieses Konzert das schönste Geburtstagsgeschenk meines Lebens war.

Am Nachmittag erfüllte sich mein Größter Traum, es gelang mir ein Autogramm von Chris und Daniel zu bekommen. Ich konnte mich nicht einmal bei Daniel bedanken, weil ich so fasziniert von seiner Gestalt war.

Endlich war es dann 20:00 Uhr, und ich stand in der ersten Reihe. Fuel 238 betraten die Bühne. Der Sänger berührte in Laufe des Konzerts sogar meine Hand. Ich fand es lustig Mitansehen zu dürfen, wie gekonnt er überspielte, dass ihm eine Gitarrensaite gerissen ist!

Nach Fuel gab es eine kurze Pause, die ca. eine halbe Stunde andauerte. Dann wurde es ganz dunkel im Saal und alle warteten angespannt auf den Beginn des Konzerts. So war es dann auch. Es wurde heller und Chris, Ben & Daniel standen vor Mir! Es war ein unbeschreibliches Gefühl!

Das Konzert begann mit Emotion Sickness. Nur Daniels Mikrophon war viel zu leise, man konnte seine Stimme fast gar nicht hören, aber dieses Problem beseitigten die Tontechniker sehr schnell. Als sie dann Ana's Song spielten, kamen mir schon fast die Tränen. Daniel sah so richtig süß im Scheinwerferlicht aus. Ich finde das dieses Lied sehr viel über seine derzeitige Lebenslage preis gibt. Dieses Lied ist übrigens mein absolutes Lieblingslied. Beim Song Tomorrow gingen Ben & Chris von der Bühne. So sang Daniel dieses Lied ganz alleine. Nur er, seine Gitarre, und mit ihm die ganze Halle. Es war total schön!!!!!!!! Bei den härteren Liedern wie zum Beispiel Pure Massacre oder Anthem for the Year 2000, sind alle total ausgeflippt. Bei Anthem sprang sogar ein Typ auf die Bühne, und plötzlich standen 5 Security-Menschen vor ihm , und holten ihn wieder zurück. Sie schlugen dann sogar wie die Vollidioten auf ihn ein. Er tat mir volle leid. Als Daniel das sah, brach er das Lied in der Mitte ab und schrie mit voller Lautstärke "FUCK THE SECURITY!" Dann setzte er genau beim Refrain wieder ein, ohne vorher einzuzählen. Das war echt die volle Präzision!

Anthem fing schon volle geil an. Als er zu singen begann, wollten schon alle weitersingen, doch er sang immer nur die erste Textzeile ("WE ARE THE YOUTH"), und alle sangen mit ihm.

Nach diesem Song gingen sie von der Bühne, und alle schrien schon total fertig "ZUGABE." Und sie kamen tatsächlich noch einmal auf die Bühne.

Sie spielten 2 Zugaben:Dearest Helpless und No Association.

Bei diesen zwei Liedern gingen echt alle noch einmal voll ab. Danach verließen sie leider die Bühne endgültig und gingen zurück zu ihrem Bus, der direkt vorm Planet Music stand.

Ich fühlte mich nach diesem Konzert absolut grenzgenial super. Es war echt das schönste Erlebnis meine Lebens. Ich möchte mich hiermit bei all den Menschen bedanken, die es mir ermöglicht haben dieses Konzert zu besuchen. Bei meinen Eltern, und bei Daniel, Ben und Chris!

Ich hoffe, das silverchair bald wieder nach Wien kommen werden, ich würde mich volle freuen, da sie meine absolute Lieblings-Band sind. Und ich bin sicher die Erste, die eine Eintrittskarte kaufen wird!

I drove at 5:48 hours to Vienna, because I live in Kaernten. Kaernten is 350 km far away from Vienna.

My friend and I went to Planet Music, where the concert took place. I was madly looking forward to the concert, since it was my first silverchair concert. My parents financed the ticket and the travel, since I had my birthday only five days after Daniel's! I must say honestly that this concert was the most beautiful birthday gift of my life.

In the afternoon, my largest dream was fulfilled -- I got an autograph of Chris and Daniel. I could not even thank Daniel, because I was so fascinated the whole thing.

Finally it was 20:00 hours (8 p.m.) and I was located in the front. Fuel 238 came on stage. The singer touched my hand before the concert. He was so skillfull in playing that he kept going even when a guitar string broke!

After Fuel there was a short break, about a half hour. Then it became quite dark in the hall and everyone waited tensely for the beginning of the concert. It became brighter and then Chris, Ben and Daniel were before me! It was an indescribable feeling!

The concert began with Emotion Sickness. At first Daniel's microphone was much too quiet -- you could hardly hear his voice -- but the sound technician eliminated this problem very quickly.

When they played Ana's Song, I nearly cried. Daniel looked so correctly sweet in the spotlight. I find this song over its present situation in life price give very much. This song is by the way my absolute favourite song.

With the song Tomorrow, Ben and Chris left the stage. Thus Daniel sang this song alone. Only him, his guitar, and with him the whole hall. It was totally beautiful!!!!!!!!

With the harder songs as for example Pure Massacre or Anthem for the Year 2000, are totally ausgeflippt all. During Anthem a guy even jumped on the stage, and suddenly there were five security people who dragged him away. Then they hit him, like complete idiots. When Daniel saw it, he aborted the song in the middle and cried loudly, "FUCK THE SECURITY!" Then he restarted the song exactly with the refrain, without counting in beforehand. That was genuine full precision!

When Daniel began to sing, the crowd wanted to sing it all, but he wanted them to sing the first line ("WE ARE THE YOUTH"), and the crowd went along with it.

After this they went from the stage, and people screamed for more. The band returned for two songs: Dearest Helpless and No Association.

With these two songs, the show was really over. They left the stage for the last time and went back to their bus, which left directly from Planet Music.

It was a super concert! It was really the most beautiful experience of my life. I would like to thank you everyone who enabled me to go to this concert -- my parents, and Daniel, Ben and Chris!

I hope silverchair will soon come again to Vienna. I would be fully pleased, since they are my absolute favourite band. And you can rely on it it -- I will be the first to buy a ticket!
