END OF YEAR ARIA ALBUM CHARTS
Silverchair have kick started 2008 with a bang!
The most successful group in ARIA Award history - topped the 2007 ARIA end of year single charts with “Straight Lines” coming in at #1. “Young Modern” was #4 on the same end of year ARIA album chart.
2007 saw Silverchair cement their rightful place as one of the most acclaimed bands in Australian music history. The band played over 60 shows on a co-headline tour with Powderfinger, they swept the ARIA Awards and now have more #1 albums than any other Australian band. The band’s ARIA Award winning Album of The Year the album “Young Modern” was the fastest seller of their extraordinary career to date.
Silverchair return to the main stage of the Big Day Out which kicks off on the Gold Coast on January 20th. The band’s current single “Mind Reader” is at radio now.
