Blink-182's
Mark Hoppus On Silverchair's "Silly, Silly, Silly" Daniel Johns

Blink-182 says they've chosen Silverchair as one of the opening acts on their
upcoming tour not because of their ability to rock the house,
but instead, according to Blink's Mark Hoppus, because Silverchair's
frontman Daniel Johns is a laugh a minute.
"Nobody is more slapstick, fall-down funny than Daniel Johns from Silverchair,"
Hoppus raved. "That guy is like Curly from 'The Three Stooges'
all the time, just silly, silly, silly."
Hoppus and bandmate Tom DeLonge, who have inspired some chuckles of their own
in their recent boy-band lampooning "All The Small Things"
video, may get some more giggles when they appear on the CBS
miniseries "Shake, Rattle & Roll," which airs on November
7 and 10. Far from playing their usual punk rock selves, they
will be portraying a "fictional surf-rock duo," based on the
group Jan & Dean. They also covered that group's "Dead Man's
Curve" for the series' soundtrack, which is in stores now
(see "Blink-182, K-Ci & JoJo, Bosstones' Barrett Make Tracks
For 'Shake' Soundtrack").
