Those who've seen silverchair guitarist and singer Daniel Johns lately have noticed something new -- an eyebrow ring.
The first public appearance of the new adornment may have occurred when the band helped re-launch the Australian cable music channel Red.
Because Johns had been quoted in an interview as saying that he didn't care for body piercings, there was a great deal of speculation among fashion-conscious silverchair fans on the Internet that the ring did not actually go through his eyebrow, but instead was a clip-on type of thing.
However, when Johns and drummer Ben Gillies were in New York recently watching fellow Australians You Am I at the Coney Island High nightspot, an innocent criminals page correspondent was able to verify that the ring did in fact go through a hole in Johns' eyebrow.
